Sell My TWITTER Username?

I am known across the web as “MountainHigh” or PARADISE MOUNTAIN or MY FOUNTAIN DESIGNS or simply SANDARA
This 3 year old blog is MountainHigh.wordpress.com
My [forgotten] TWITTER  account is under username MountainHigh

I have a CLAIM.ID account with username as….. yep MOUNTAINHIGH!

But I have been getting emails and phone calls from a company that wants MY twitter username and account! I told her she couldn’t use it in many places cause MountainHigh is MY USERNAME! So I ask her, “Why do you want to use MountainHigh when I have claimed it on claimID?” and I mentioned several other accounts where I AM MOUNTAINHIGH. She said, “Because WE are MountainHigh Resort, and WE are MountainHigh” well, that just encouraged me to stake my claim back to my forgotten user ID on Twitter!
I created the account – www.twitter.com/MountainHigh -in December 2008, just a couple short months after my beloved father died. I also moved my website to another host in Dec ‘08, along with all the other things that go on in December, and I simply forgot all about creating this account! I have another twitter account using MOUNTAINBLESSED as my username [so THATS why twitter kept giving me the error "that username has already been taken... I HAD TAKEN IT!] But now that I have been reminded of it, I took it back! Therefore, PLEASE FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER! www.twitter.com/MountainHigh

  1. I do not think there are any laws there prevent usernames from being taken unless you try to spread rumours and act as a fake account for the brand. Your twitter account is safe. :)

    I will follow you too!

    • Thanks for your comment, AND THE FOLLOW! I’ll check out your co. too. I am moving my website and am looking for a home for it now.
No, they have no legal attachments to the name MountainHigh. They did call to tell me they had some type of documents on that name, but what they have has nothing to do with the internet.
      God bless, Sandara

    • Thank you for the follow!
I found the situation rather amusing myself! Thing is, since I already had another twitter account, I probably would have let them have my MountainHigh account. UNTIL she rudely replied “because WE ARE MountainHigh in California”, well fine and dandy! They can be MountainHigh in Cal, but as for Ky, I AM MOUNTAINHIGH!
