A Day Made for Horseback Riding
Here it is now December 11 and we had 70 degree weather! That wouldn’t be so unusual if I were still in east Texas but this is east Kentucky. It was GORGEOUS out. You know I just had to go horseback riding on a day like this.
I am so blessed to live in the hills of East Ky. Love it! You just can’t get better scenery. I will be the very first to admit that as far as sunsets go, East Texas has Ky. beat hands down. I lived in Texas for 14 years and they have gorgeous sunsets, they are truly some of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen.
But back to Ky and all the gorgeous Appalachian Hills. My most favorite one is mine. Check it out on my website where I feature Fountains and Waterfalls. I have a page devoted to my mountain, a photo album with a Glimpse into My World
My son and I go riding quite frequently, weather permitting. This was
definitely a day for a ride. I stayed with my giant of a mare, the one I call ‘Bigun’ Biggun is a Paint Tennessee Walking mare that stands over 17 hands high. She is an excellent trail horse
Shelby is also a paint mare, but she is red and white. Shelby is gorgeous, a real sweetheart. Only 2 1/2 years old and anyone, absolutely anyone can ride her. Here is 4 year old Riddick on her.
and this is our new Tennessee Walking, Palomino stud colt that we named Joker
