Horse Back Ride in Oil Springs Ky
I LOVE IT!
Everyone should get to experience a horseback ride in the Appalachian Hills of Ky, especially in the autumn! When riding on the back of my beloved Sugar -[yep, Mama Caps 2 year Palomino filly!] I feel so alive, so free and wild, I whoop and yell, and just so totally love it! and nope, I’m not yelping cause I got a buzz! But I am definitely high! A totally natural high. A high like no other, a high simply from the love of life. I can find this high while riding in the saddle on my Sugar, in the Appalachian Hills of Ky.
Sell My TWITTER Username?
I am known across the web as “MountainHigh” or PARADISE MOUNTAIN or MY FOUNTAIN DESIGNS or simply SANDARA
This 3 year old blog is MountainHigh.wordpress.com
My [forgotten] TWITTER account is under username MountainHigh
I have a CLAIM.ID account with username as….. yep MOUNTAINHIGH!
But I have been getting emails and phone calls from a company that wants MY twitter username and account! I told her she couldn’t use it in many places cause MountainHigh is MY USERNAME! So I ask her, “Why do you want to use MountainHigh when I have claimed it on claimID?” and I mentioned several other accounts where I AM MOUNTAINHIGH. She said, “Because WE are MountainHigh Resort, and WE are MountainHigh” well, that just encouraged me to stake my claim back to my forgotten user ID on Twitter!
I created the account – www.twitter.com/MountainHigh -in December 2008, just a couple short months after my beloved father died. I also moved my website to another host in Dec ‘08, along with all the other things that go on in December, and I simply forgot all about creating this account! I have another twitter account using MOUNTAINBLESSED as my username [so THATS why twitter kept giving me the error "that username has already been taken... I HAD TAKEN IT!] But now that I have been reminded of it, I took it back! Therefore, PLEASE FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER! www.twitter.com/MountainHigh
Get Rich Quick SCHEMES
WHY WOULD ANYONE TELL YOU “SECRETS TO MAKING MONEY” ” GET RICH QUICK” “MAKE MONEY ON THE INTERNET”
ANYONE WOULD JUST DO IT THEMSELVES, NOT TELL EVERYONE ABOUT IT!
It’s so easy to fall for something like this in these sickening economic times.

I Present…MY Waterfalls
I mentioned a while back about getting the view of my waterfalls cleared out so you could see. Here it is, my very own God given Waterfall.
About midway thru this video clip, I slip and fall on my buutwah and discover a small underground cave, so very cool!
STILL a tomboy after all these years!

Sometimes you just gotta be a dog
Ginger loves to play, so with no other dogs in the house, no kids, she gets my socks or my shoes, or she’ll run and get her stuffed bear, jump on the couch beside of me and wants to play. Its a special treat for her when I get down on her level, and be a pup too.

Days in the Life from Paradise Mountain
or to be more precise… a few days of my life from Paradise Mountain would drive most individuals to the brink of

end of the day
insanity! Seriously. Lets begin with a little hindsight………..
Although there are only 2 humans that occupy Paradise Mountain as permanent residents, there are many factors that come into play when trying to describe Life as it is being, “MountainHigh”
quick summary: I attempt to keep up with and take care of hubby, Larry, with whom I share a love of 2 adult children, animals and the great outdoors. Therefore I also share my life and time with 10 horses, 10 cattle, 1 bottle calf that insists on a bottle the moment she hears me come out the door at mealtimes, 4 dogs, a mother who I love that depends on me to take her to the drs, do her heavier household and yard work while we try to understand each other since we missed it the first 50 years of my life.
I also own and operate MyFountainDesigns.com and an ebay store www Sadies Treasure Trunk [which is named after our 13 year old dog Sadie]
all from the comfort of my home….. which is also my storeroom, office, headquarters and sanctuary.

A few days in the life from Paradise Mountain
Monday, July 20 started out like most Monday morns, except this quarterly state tax day, and as usual I had waited ’till the last day. I had my desk cleared off and ready to get started on my dreaded taxes when mom called about 9:30 and said she needed me. So everything is put aside and I’m gone, after all, its mom. Mom is 77, lost her 60 year companion last September, had surgery in May, fell & hurt her shoulder/neck/back 4 weeks ago, lives alone, but has dads sisters and brother living to the right, in back and across the road from her. I live 5 miles on down the road.
I stop by and get Damian, my great-nephew & recently reformed buckeye gone country, so he can help me get moms yard work done. Damian cuts the huge front yard on the riding mower while I do all the push mowing, weedeating, and brush cleaning off the hill out back so copperheads don’t crawl down the hill on her. Then we take her truck to the gas station and fill it and 2 gas cans up. Back to moms for a sandwich, back to work, and come home at 4:00 so tired, too tired for it just to be Monday.
I sit in the living room with Larry for 45 minutes before he leaves to go to Lee City Sale barn. I want to get to work filling orders from my website, but I am so tired and made the mistake of sitting down before I got in the shower. At 6, I force myself up and start on orders. I stock all my items in my website here, so I print each order, then gather the items, get an order boxed up while another ones shipping label is printing- as I tape the label on box, another order prints out. This goes on till 9 pm and I finally get into a blessed flow of water.
TUESDAY JULY 21 started out as a usual july day, helping Larry in the hayfield. Then mom calls my cell phone and I have to go get her, take her to Paul B Hall hospital to pick up a copy of her MRI. I get mom back home, and return to the hay field as I watch the black clouds come rolling in, threatening rain AGAIN! We say a prayer, thank God for allowing us to get this hay rolled before it rains, and proceed to roll on! get home, finally, eat a bite, and fill some orders. It is again past midnight
WEDNESDAY JULY 22 is moms next appointment date in Ashland Ky for a checkup from her last surgery. So we leave her house about 10 a.m. and don’t get home until 6 THAT NIGHT! Tired, worn out, stretched to my limit, I call Larry to come and pick me up [I have not had a vehicle of my own since I totaled my 4Runner 3 years ago] walk in the back door at home and take a look around at the dishes I haven’t had time to wash all week, and settle for leftovers for supper which is a good thing since the leftovers are this years White Half Runner beans from the garden, cornbread, and potatoes that were cooked with a white sauce made over them – mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmm. But I did have to wash 2 forks first!
Return of the TINMAN
My cousin fell off a footbridge late one night. I don’t think he thought he had hurt himself very bad, until his bodys own protective mechanism wore off [or till he sobered up!] but he did go to the emergency room a few hours later. Yep, he did hurt himself! He broke a vertebrae or 2 in his neck and completely broke off the very top part of his spine! Doesn’t seem possible that he isn’t either dead or paralyzed right? Yea, thats what the drs said too.
But he is alive and walking around, PRAISE GOD! But he does look a bit different now. and has a new name, The Tinman. He even has to carry around his own tools, not an oil can, but wrenches, screwdrivers and stuff. He doesn’t carry them in his pocket, but in a bag attached to his “halo”. Although he is definitely NOT an angel, not yet anyway, he does indeed have a halo. Thats what he needs the tools for, oh yeah, for that and for the 4 screws that are actually screwed into his head.
Riddicks Dream Home… our Indian Caves
I’ve been working outside, alot, and have cleaned the hill in front of the house that goes down to…….
OUR INDIAN CAVES!
I’ve passed my love of the great outdoors, and mountains, and hiking, and just messin around, on to Riddick. He doesn’t get into the cleaning brush and raking leaves too much, but he loves to explore. We are making our first trip to our Indian Caves since I’ve cleaned the hill. Riddick was thrilled because he can go to them now by himself , with granny not too far behind!
